The 21st of this month marks new student move in: one of my favorite times during the academic year. Soon all of our students will be back on campus and with their return comes many campus activities such as Family Weekend, Homecoming, Founder's Day and much more.
We are welcoming 500 members of the class of 2012. These students come to us from across the nation, representing 38 states. Their collective high school grade point average is an impressive 89.
Our students choose to attend Wagner for the same reasons you did: the beauty of the campus (we were recently ranked the nation's fourth "Most Beautiful Campus" in the Princeton Review's Best 368 Colleges guide), the proximity to Manhattan and the intimate campus setting.
If it has been a while since you have been back to Wagner, I urge you to visit us. There is no greater time to do so than when the students are back and the weather is still warm enough to sit along the Oval and watch future classes of alumni enjoying their Wagner College experience.
And, if you have a child, grandchild, niece or nephew who is beginning the college search process, bring them with you and be sure to visit the Pape Admissions House. Or, arrange a visit to campus in conjunction with one of our admissions events. No matter your reason for returning to campus, we hope to see you soon.
Enjoy the rest of your summer,
Jake
Jacob Browne '05 M'08 Director of Alumni Relations
