National Alumni Association |
Board Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Actively participating in the policy and planning function of the Association by:
- Attending board and committee meetings. Regular attendance is expected either in person or via phone.
- Selecting and joining one committee, which will meet approximately 3-4 times per year.
- Serve as advocates for alumni.
- Offer expert advice and feedback as requested from the office staff and consult with the office staff on matters of procedure, protocol and planning to ensure the best strategies are being adopted for proposed initiatives and plans.
- Support the College in its fundraising efforts and encourage other alumni to do so.

2. Assist in the National Alumni Association programs:
- All board members are encouraged to attend various events such as Homecoming, Reunion, Winter on the Hill and other alumni events.
- Encouraging and promoting attendance by alumni at events.
- Seeking out suitable nominations for alumni awards, new board members, and other volunteers.
- Reinforce the message in the Link magazine in the broader community and provide story leads and possible interesting alumni profiles.
- Provide names for reunion year class organizers and class agents.
