We consider internships to be supervised learning experiences that supplement classroom learning. Internships should be career-related, with clearly defined learning objectives agreed upon by the employer and student. Employment and internship experiences should be mutually beneficial to employer and student. We will not post opportunities for employers operating in a non-professional environment (e.g. home/private residence).

The Center for Academic and Career Development (CACD) at Wagner College welcomes job postings from third party recruiters; in order to maintain quality of job services, the following policies are to be maintained:
1. Your services must be free to job candidates.
2. We will publish an online job posting for any current, open positions at your clients' organizations.
3. You will inform our office when the position has been filled so we may deactivate your listing from our online job database.
4. Name of the client company must be disclosed to CACD for quality assurance; however, we will omit the company name from the published job posting if necessary.
5. Candidates referred to your agency by our office will be considered by your agency for the positions that they have applied for. Should they be qualified for additional positions listed with your agency, they can be considered for those in addition to the position for which they applied.
6. Recruiting agencies with no current, open positions appropriate for our candidates may be included on an "agency listings" referral page. Should our candidates be interested in working with a recruiting agency, they will contact you at the number/location you specify. Agencies listed on the Agency Listings page are up to CACD's discretion.
