Center For Academic & Career Development

Parents

Parents and guardians often provide their children with the first introduction to the world of work and careers, beginning with the assignment of household responsibilities through activities such as “Take Your Daughter/Son to Work” days.  Important lessons about work and careers come from the observations students make of their parents/guardians, other family members, and friends. As your student continues to formulate their own ideas about their career path, the staff of the Center for Academic and Career Development is here to assist him or her in that process. We guide students along the process of major and career exploration and development through our "What's Your Wagner Plan" program, which prepares them for a successful transition into future meaningful employment and greater independence.

The Center for Academic and Career Development is actively seeking alumni, parents and friends of the college willing to share their insights and expertise with Wagner students. Career Connections is our tool to connect these individuals with current Wagner students. Click here to learn more about the Career Connections program.
