Volunteer Abroad


Cross-Cultural Solutions - participate in programs ranging from 1-12 weeks in length in a variety of different countries.

Global Vision International - volunteer travel to critical conservation and community projects.

AmeriCorps

Intermountain AmeriCorps Chelan-Douglas Community Action Council - make a difference for youth, tutoring and mentoring children and teens. Educaton award of $4725 available, as well as monthly stipend, health care, and relocation assistance.

Museum of Jewish Heritage- New York, NY

The Auschwitz Jewish Center Fellows Program- A Bridge to History- After a brief orientation in New York City, Fellows travel in Poland for three weeks, during which time they visit Krakow, Warsaw, Auschwitz, and Lodz. The Fellows also will be taken on a study trip throughout southeast Poland to explore the area's rich Jewish heritage, meeting with local leaders to learn about pre-war Jewish life. Application deadline is early March.

Unite for Sight- Volunteer programs Abroad

Volunteer for short- or long-term positions in Ghana or India. The program is a fully hands-on clinical experience, but does not require prior health experience. Volunteers have participated for as little as 7 days up to over a one-year term of service. Consult the website and FAQ page for more information and to apply .

Foundation for Sustainable Development
An international internship or volunteer program for university students, pre-career professionals, or graduates that are interested in a "gap year" (prior to grad school or full-time employment).
Short-term volunteering can run anywhere from one to eight weeks and study tours are available ranging from one to four weeks. Internships are coordinate for at least 9 weeks and up to 52 weeks.
