The Dean of Campus Life and Co-Curricular Programs offices are pleased to announce our annual Emerging Leaders Institute on November 4-6, 2011. The ELI consists of an off-campus leadership retreat on November 4-6, focusing on diversity and social justice training. Students attending this weekend will receive a skills based training offered by the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs on facilitate their award “We are New York” English language workshops. Additionally students will engage in workshops exploring social justice and issues of diversity.
Participation in this weekend requires a commitment from each student, to take risks, engage in difficult conversations and return to campus ready to make a difference.
