Wagner College's Fellowship of Christian Athletes meets every Monday at 9 PM in The Spiro Sports' Center Hall of Fame room. Events for the semester include
* weekly prayer and fellowship
* monthly game and study nights
* and multiple community and campus outreach opportunities.
Speakers for this semester include:
* Steve Patterson (Former NY Jets Team Chaplain and FCA representative for NYC),
* Reverend AC Dunn(Former Ohio State University Football standout who now works with the NY Times),
* Eric Gravelle(Formerly worked in the Entertainment Productions Division of The Madison Square Garden but has since decided to devote his life to ministry by way of Campus Crusade For Christ),
* Dan McGovern- NY Giants Team Chaplain
* Reverend Victor Brown
* NY Giants' player to be named at a later date.
Our Community Outreach thus far has included weekly visits to the Staten Island Children's hospital; in fact, Sharing The Victory Magazine(The official magazine of FCA) has chosen to feature our group in their latest issue. The Staten Island Advance also wrote an article about the visits -http://www.silive.com/colleges/index.ssf/2010/03/gridders_score_td_with_kids.html . All in all we are a group devoted to fellowship, you do not need to be an athlete, nor Christian to join us. However, most of our group lessons are based on how we can shine the light that we have been blessed with by being an example of Christ's love in the community and on campus.
