Foundation Hall Housing Selection

Housing Selection for Foundation Hall will occur on Tuesday, April 10 between 5 and 7 PM.  Seniors will have top priority for an assignment in Foundation Hall.  Senior status is determined by the anticipated number of units a student has at the end of the Spring 2012 semester.  Juniors are also eligible to live in Foundation Hall; however, sophomores and first year students are not eligible to live there.

Students participating in Foundation Hall Housing Selection will be separated into five groups:

  • Groups of 4 seniors
  • Groups of 3 seniors and one junior
  • Groups of 2 seniors and 2 juniors
  • Gruops of 1 senior and 3 juniors
  • Groups of 4 juniors

Groups from the first category will be permitted to select an assignment before any of the groups in the second category, and so on.  In other words, students with one or more juniors in their group will not be able to select a space right away, but may select a Foundation Hall assignment if spaces are available after all-senior groups have selected.  Groups may use the lowest lottery number out of the four students in the group when selecting a suite.  All four members of the group (or their proxy) must be present when selecting a Foundation Hall assignment.  Any student who is unable to obtain a Foundation Hall assignment must return the following night to participate in traditional Housing Selection.
