Some students currently living in a Wagner College residential facility wishing to return to their same room assignment in the fall semester may reserve their space during the Same Room Sign-Up process. Students signing up for their current single room, double room or suite should follow the steps outlined below. First year students, any student living in Harborview Hall, Foundation Hall residents, Grymes Hill Apartment residents, Themed Community residents, and Greek Floor residents are not permitted to participate in Same Room Sign-Up.
Same Room Sign-Up Options
Students currently living in a suite may participate in same room sign-up if 50% or more of the members of the suite are returning to the same space for the coming academic year. Students must fill the remaining spaces completely in order to secure the space. Suites may not be co-ed.
During Same Room Sign-Up, a student may bring a new roommate into his/her double room who does not currently reside in that space. Students must first speak to their current roommate(s) to make sure they agree on which residents will be returning. Students will then identify a new current residential student to come into the space. Rooms may not be co-ed.
Same Room Sign-Up Application Process
- Current residents should decide who will return to the room. All residents must agree before housing applications are accepted. If current residents cannot come to an agreement, the room will not be available for the Same Room Sign-Up process and will be assigned during traditional Housing Selection. Please contact your RA or RD for assistance.
- Complete Same Room Sign-Up portion of the Online Housing Application.
- Please be sure that all students participating in this process with you get their paperwork in by the Same Room Sign Up deadline, March 23rd 2012 at 4:30pm.
Important Notes
- If a student selects a space during the Same Room Sign-Up process, s/he will not receive a lottery number and may not continue to participate in the Housing Selection Process.
- Spaces can be re-designated at any time during the Housing Selection Process. In the event that a space is re-designated for administrative purposes (negating its availability to the current residents), notification will be sent via Wagner e-mail before Housing Selection night and students will be reassigned to a space elsewhere in Wagner College housing.
