Songfest Committee Positions
To serve as a chairperson, you must have been a member of your organization for more than a year. Individuals who have participated in Songfest are the ideal candidate, due to their personal experience in the event. For more information about specific responsibilities, pleaese see below:
Songfest Chair: As Songfest Chair, this individual will be responsible for running meetings, keeping track of participants’ progress, organizing specific details, while overseeing the Public Relations and Royal Court Chairpersons. Essentially, this person will be the key person to look to for information about the event. This is an extremely large position and requires individuals to be organized and able to work with others. They will be required to work closely with the Student Government President, as well as the Songfest Advisor.
Public Relation Chair: As Public Relations Chair, this individual will serve as a secretary, taking notes at each Songfest meeting, as well as create a marketing plan to advertise Songfest throughout the Wagner College community. This individual will work closely with the Songfest chair to create different opportunities to advertise Songfest and get Wagner College students excited. This person will need to create an interesting and creative way to advertise the event.
Royal Court Chair: As Royal Court Chair, this individual will serve as the liaison between Songfest committee and Songfest Royal Court Candidates. The job responsibilities are focused around the Royal Court process. This individual will be responsible for Royal Court elections, the campaigning process, as well as the Royal Court reception ceremony.
