The Co-Curricular Competencies Program is designed to increase student engagement on and off campus, and to increase student learning through guided reflection about the interplay between in-class and out-of-class knowledge and experiences. Inclusion in the inaugural cohort is an amazing opportunity for leadership and growth and will equip students with the tools to become a civic professional and the ability to contribute to a more robust culture of dialogue and interaction at Wagner and in the community. Participation in the co-curricular competencies program begins with an off-campus leadership retreat on November 19-21, and requires a long-term commitment from each participant, with the goal of successfully completing at least two of the designated areas. Competencies to be explored are: Wellness, Global Stewardship, Civic Engagement, Creative & Intellectual Expression, Leadership, Intercultural Engagement, and Information & Technological Literacy.
