HEALTH SERVICES

All registered Wagner College students (full time or part time) are eligible for care at Health Services. In addition to first aid for accidents, the Health Service Center evaluates and treats minor ailments, provides any needed laboratory testing, inhalation therapy, crutches and medications.The office functions as a screening, diagnostic and treatment center, and does not maintain an infirmary. Students harboring a communicable disease may not remain in the residence halls; after evaluation by Health Service arrangements are made for their care with their parents or guardians.

Counseling Services are offered on campus as well.

Health Service Office Hours are 8:30am - 12:15pm and 1:30pm - 10:00pm Monday - Thursday, and 8:30am - 12:15pm and 1:30 - 7:00pm on Friday.

Appointments are strongly encouraged for all conditions, but urgent walk-in patients are always seen.  To make an appointment, call (718)390-3158.

Prior to enrollment at Wagner College all students are required to submit a completed history,immunization record and physical examination signed by their physician. This is the foundation of each student's medical record for the next four years. Failure to submit this form will result in a delay of registration.

ALL full-time, undergraduate students are required to provide proof of health insurance annually.  This proof must be submitted on a hard waiver form with a copy of the student's insurance identification card.  (See Insurance Waivers/info).  In addition, the College offers health and accident insurance to all students at a reasonable fee.  Go to www.eiia.org/wagner for information about the available health insurance coverage.
