HEATH INSURANCE AT WAGNER COLLEGE:
All full time undergraduates are required to show proof of health insurance annually.
Students are required to present a copy of their insurance card to Health Services.
The college offers accident and sickness insurance to students without coverage or
as a supplemental insurance policy.

- Who can purchase student health insurance?
All full time undergraduates can purchase student health insurance . For any graduate student that does not have health insurance, please note the following links:

- Is it mandatory to purchase student health insurance?
Yes, it is mandatory for all full time undergraduates, resident and commuter students to carry health insurance. If you do not complete and return the Insurance Waiver to Health Services, you will automatically be charged for the Wagner Student Health Insurance.
- Can I purchase student health insurance for half a year?
No, you can not purchase student health insurance for half a year. If you decide to enroll, you have health coverage for one year.
- Is the fee for the insurance refundable?
No, the fee for the insurance is not refundable.
- How do I enroll in the student health insurance?
At the beginning of the fall semester, you will receive a yellow Health Insurance Waiver Form that must be completed and faxed to Health Services at 718-420-4170. You can check the appropriate box if you wish to enroll.
- How much does it cost annually?
The cost for the 2007-2008 year is $210. The insurance coverage extends from August 2007 to August 2008. After you enroll in the student health insurance, your account will be charged for $210 through the Business Office.
- If I do not want student insurance, how do I waive the insurance?
To decline enrollment of the Wagner College Health Plan, a student must complete and sign the waiver by the deadline noted on the form. A copy of your insurance card must be sent with the waiver.
- If I do not return the Health Insurance Waiver, what are the consequences?
If you do not return the waiver and return it by the deadline noted on the form, you will automatically be enrolled in the Wagner College Health Plan and be charged for the insurance.
- If I was admitted to Wagner after the deadline for enrollment/waiver , can I still opt to purchase student health insurance?
Yes, you must contact the Student Health Service Office within 30 days from your date of admission.
- Do I need Student Health Insurance to be seen at the Student Health Center?
No, you do not need student health insurance to be seen at the Health Center. All students are eligible to be seen at the Student Health Center.
