Letter from the Vice President
Hi all! I'm glad you found your way over to the Student Government site that we've built up here! We are all very excited about the upcoming spring semester and are looking forward to all the great projects that are in the works! As the Vice President of SGA, I along with the rest of the Executive Board and Student Senate are fully committed to bringing more events to campus and help improve our way of life at Wagner.
Two years ago when I was a freshman, I joined SGA as a student senator as a way to get more involved on campus. While that may have been my initial reason for joining, I have continued to work within our student government for a few different reasons. During my time as a student senator I have learned a tremendous amount not only about working with others to effectively achieve goals, but also about leadership and responsibilty. While SGA has helped me grow not only as a student but as a leader as well, I realize how much we help this entire student body in a lot of different ways.
Simply put, SGA is here for YOU. We are here to help every member of the Wagner community. If you have concerns, questions, or even suggestions we want to hear them! We want to know what you think about our campus, our events, and anything in between. You have all elected us into these positions because you believed we would be able to voice your concerns in the best way possible, so that is our committment to the entire student body.
As President of the Student Senate I am could not be any prouder of all the work that the entire senate has done this past semester. We had tremendous success in a lot of the events that we held on campus including the Autumn Ball and Fallfest. Student Senate is one of the best ways to get involved in SGA, so if you may be interested in joining please stop by the office and we'll answer any questions you may have.
We will be holding elections in March and April for the Executive Board and Student Senate for Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. The election packets for all of those will be available in Mid February, so check back soon!
