Housing Selection Information

2012-2013 Housing Selection is here!  Please take the time to read through this Housing Selection website to ensure that you are aware of all of your options for next year.  Be mindful of all required paperwork and deadlines.  Staff members in Residential Education are always happy to answer your questions and help you come to a decision about how to select housing for next year, so please contact us if you need assistance. 

This process involves:

1. Determining which Housing Selection process is most appropriate for you (read about each process on this website to assist in making that determination)
2. Completing and submitting the proper paperwork and paying a deposit by the deadline (March 30, 2012 for the traditional housing process) for that Housing Selection process
3. In most cases, attending a Housing Selection night (or sending a proxy in your place) to select a 2012-2013 housing assignment

PLEASE NOTE:  Applicants for housing for the 2012-2013 academic year must pay a $300 housing deposit to the Business Office to be eligible for on-campus housing.  

New For 2012-2013

Each year, the Office of Residential Education makes changes to certain housing options and adjustments in the way housing assignments are determined based on student feedback from previous years as well as new initiatives in our area.  The following changes to last year's lottery system and housing options are incorporated into the 2011-2012 Housing Selection process:

• All first year students in housing are required to apply for housing for next Fall. Any first year student remaining at Wagner next year that wishes to move off campus must submit a Resident to Non-resident Form, which must be approved before being released from your housing contract. Approval is not guaranteed.
• The Honors Communities (both first year and upperclass) are now only open to students who are members of the Wagner College Honors Program. Please see the Themed Community section of this website for more information.
• The following rooms are not available for Same Room Sign-Up:
  • Any room in Harborview
  • Any room in Foundation Hall
  • Themed Communities
  • Greek Housing Spaces
  • Grymes Hill Apartments
• The following rooms are not available to students during the Housing Selection process:
  • First floor of Harborview
  • First Year floors (except for single rooms)

Lottery Numbers

Lottery numbers will be posted on this web page on Friday April , 6th  2012. Please check back on that day to confirm your lottery number before you attend a Housing Selection night.
