The Port Richmond Partnership connects various North Shore community groups, faith communities, businesses and schools and Wagner College.

Community Health Action of Staten Island (formerly the Staten Island AIDS Task Force), a 501(c)3 non-profit community-based organization, educates Staten Islanders about HIV and AIDS and advocates for HIV-positive people. We work to prevent the spread of HIV, and to identify and serve the needs of Staten Islanders living with HIV/AIDS, their families and all others affected by this disease.
Over the years, our services have expanded to serve other communities that were historically most impacted by AIDS. We have developed health educational and social programs for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender communities in the borough. We also operate a job counseling program for family members of our primary clients, a food bank for the general community, and a medically-supervised outpatient treatment program for persons dealing with active drug or alcohol use.
Founded by a group of community advocates, service providers, and HIV-infected and affected people in 1988, Community Health Action is the only borough-wide AIDS service organization in Staten Island. Our case management staff currently assists about 400 HIV-positive clients and 75 at-risk persons and their families. This is a constantly shifting case load, as new clients come to us for services while former clients see their needs met, and rely on us less.
Community Health Action currently serves 400 HIV+ persons, and affected family members. People at risk and HIV+ clients reside in all zip codes of Staten Island, and the agency has always served the entire borough. 90% of the clients have Medicaid or are low income. Clients are ethnically and racially diverse: 33% white, 42% black and 25% Latino. Close to 18% of our clients identify as gay, bisexual, lesbian or transgender. Some of our clients are physically challenged and all of our offices are fully handicapped-accessible.
We will continue to pursue our mission of developing a community of caring for Staten Island, expanding as we see unmet needs and have opportunities for new and creative programs.

United Activities Unlimited
Unlimited Activities Unlimited, Inc. is a community-based agency that provides educational, recreational, counseling and social programs for Staten Island Teenagers and young adults.
Unlimited Activities Unlimited, Inc., was incorporated in 1977 as the result of a community initiative by concerned citizens who responded to the challenge of providing positive alternatives to young people in the wake of the financial crisis of New York City that forced the closing of many of the Board of Education afternoon and evening centers.
Since then UAU has grown from a single recreation center to a borough wide network or recreation centers and summer camps that offer quality programming response to community needs. The activities centers offer tutorial and homework help, clubs, cultural enrichment and couseling as well as, after school child and sports concentrations. Our goal is to provide Island Youth with positive alternatives for the use of free time. Currently, Unlimited Activities Unlimited provides 29 Centers in public school settings for youth throughout Staten Island.
More than 14,000 youngsters in “Beacon Centers” throughout Staten Island are served each year. The programs are free at the 21 UAU sites. Each Beacon Program works collaboratively with schools and the community.

Our Mission
The YMCA of Greater New York is a community service organization which promotes positive values through programs that build spirit, mind and body, welcoming all people, with a focus on youth.
Our Values
All YMCA programs teach the core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility and continue our 156-year tradition of emphasis upon youth, health and wellness, adult education, and community collaboration and problem solving. The YMCA has always grown from within its community and is a reflection of the community itself in diversity and values. The YMCA is an open and inclusive organization and welcomes all without discrimination to race, ethnicity, color, national origin, citizenship, creed, religion, age, abilities, sexual orientation or income.
A Focus on Youth
The YMCA of Greater New York gives young people a place to come after school for safe, productive activities that encourage and support academic performance, help to build their self-esteem and develop healthy lifestyles. Among the hundreds of programs offered by the YMCA of Greater New York are a variety of youth programs, including child care, day care and after-school care programs; swimming, sports leagues; instructional classes; evening Teen Centers; counseling and health awareness; life/social skills; mentoring; leadership training and development; service learning; computer training; college/career preparation; day camps and sleep-away camps.
Open to All
At the YMCA, no one is turned away because of an inability to pay. To offer the broadest possible access to YMCA programs, services, and facilities, and to provide for those individuals and community groups who may not be able to afford the full cost of our programs, services and facilities, the YMCA engages in fundraising through the annual Strong Kids Campaign, special events at the branch and Association levels, grants, bequests, or individual, corporate or foundation support.
We conduct extensive outreach to ensure wide participation in all YMCA programs by all segments of the many communities we serve. Each year, we deliver more than $47.3 million in sponsored, free and subsidized programs to more than 350,000 members and program participants, assuring all of an equal opportunity to benefit from the YMCA’s programs and services.
On Staten Island, our branches include:
