Use of Wagner Crest and Shield

When choosing which image is right for your project or piece, use these guidelines:

• BMP (Bitmap) files are best used in WORD documents
• JPG or JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) files can be used on a Web page or WORD documents
• TIFF or TIF (Tagged Image File Format) files are best for full color or professional printing
• EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) files are for use in many Adobe products, such as PageMaker

After identifying which image format is correct for your work, click on the link below for that image. Then, using a Windows-based system, right-click on the image and select "Save Picture As...". Save the image to your computer, paying attention to where on the computer the item is saved. If you're using a Macintosh system, hold down the control key while clicking on the picture, release the control key, and choose 'Save this image as' from the menu that appears. This can also be done by positioning the mouse pointer over the picture, then clicking the mouse button and holding it down for a few seconds.

Wagner College Crest:

The crest must be used with the Wagner College nameplate (see below) as it does not contain the name of the College within the image. Appropriate use includes official Wagner documents (diplomas, certificates), cover art, and high quality publications for external audiences. Note: A crest exists which has "Wagner College" written above it in a curve, similar to the one shown in the upper-left corner of this web page. This crest is no longer to be used; please discontinue use of this crest.

Wagner College Shield:

Because the shield contains the name of the College, it can either stand alone or accompany the Wagner nameplate. The shield appears on all official Wagner letterhead, envelopes and business cards. Note: A similar shield exists which does not contain the College name. This shield is no longer to be used; please discontinue use of this shield.

Wagner College Nameplate:

The official font for Wagner College is Bauer Bodoni. In official representations of the Wagner name, use this font. An image of the nameplate has been posted on the Web site along with usage guidelines. The nameplate must always be used in capitals with the ‘W’ and ‘C’ slightly larger than the rest of the letters.

To use a nameplate with the crest in WORD, download and save this file to your computer: Nameplate with Crest, both color and b&w.

Design services are available through the office. Once an individual office has determined where to place an advertisement, the Office of Communications will then design the ad, receive your departmental approval and place the ad for your office. The cost of placing the ad will then be forwarded to your department. No advertisements should be placed without consulting the Office of Communications, as we will ensure consistency of image, layout, design and content. Please note that these advertisements include job ads. Please consult with Human Resources before placing a job advertisement.
