Information for Platform Presentation Evaluators
Thank you very much for agreeing to judge platform presentations. Packets with your forms will be distributed before the beginning of each platform session. Please fill in the requested information for each platform presentation that you are judging. The conference program will include times and locations for all the platform presentations. In addition to judging the platform presentations assigned to you, you will be determining the most excellent presentation for your session. You will be the only evaluator for the platform presentations assigned to you. It will be assumed that your evaluations will be unbiased and professionally handled. Please feel free to ask the presenter any questions that you think are appropriate, either during the presentation or shortly afterwards.
Each student presenter will eventually see his/her platform evaluation, so please fill in the information as completely and clearly as possible. Please phrase any written comments so that they are useful to the student in improving his/her presentation. (Statements like “I did not like the presentation” are not very useful to the student.) Please complete each form and include all written comments by the end of the designated platform presentation period or shortly thereafter.
As soon as possible after the platform session, please provide Dr. Donald Stearns with all the completed platform evaluation sheets, along with your choice for the most excellent presentation of the session. If, in your opinion, there is not an excellent presentation, please let Dr. Stearns know, so that no award will be given for your judged presentations. Click here for the Platform Evaluation Form.
