Alternative Spring Break
The goal of the Alternative Spring Break program is to examine trends in race, ethnicity, class, and gender that shape and reshape diversity in North America.  Participants will not only participate in a week of service during spring break, but they will also examine the social dynamics of race, ethnicity, class, and gender, and how they influence institutional structures, social issues and policy, and the possibilities for social change.

This year, we are proud to announce that students will have their choice of selecting between two separate week-long service projects in Port au Prince, Haiti or War, WV.

Costs for participation is $200 for West Virginia and $600 for Haiti, which covers your travel to the destination, lodging and three meals per day while  on spring break. Please submit a cover letter and resume.  In your cover letter,  highlight your desired location for the alternative spring break and why you are interested in participating in the program.  All materials are due by November 7, 2011 and can be emailed to curtis.wright@wagner.edu or delivered to the Dean of Campus Life Office, Union 221.
