This seven-day program took students to Rome, Italy for this year's "City as Text"
learning experience. The city literally served as a textbook as they learned about
Italian culture past and present, and immersed themselves in the heritage that
Italian-Americans remember and honor as part of their own history.

The program included visits to the Colosseum, the Arch of Constantine, the Forio
Imperiali, the Vatican Museum, and St. Peter's Cathedral, just to name a few; as well as
walking tours throughout the city, which included Trastevere, Piazza Navona, the Jewish
Quarter, Circus Maximus, and Palatine Hill.
