Furthering International Understanding: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam
Prerequisite: None
Wintersession 2008: Trip to Israel January 3 – 15, 2008
Learn about these three major faiths in lectures given by Professor Walter Kaelber here at Wagner. Then take an exciting, fully escorted, ten-day tour of Israel. Return to campus and participate in focus groups helping to promote dialogue and understanding. Learn from celebrated experts in the field. The escorted tour - led by Wagner Professor Rabbi Dr. Abraham Unger and Wagner College Trustee Bishop Stephen Bouman – will visit many of the major sites of Jerusalem and the surrounding area. Meet - and discuss major issues - with notable religious leaders. Cultural highlights and holy places will come alive for you and your traveling companions. Then return to campus and help make a difference in today’s world. Contribute to dialogue and understanding.
The total cost of this trip will be approximately $2,500. This will include airfare, accommodations and meals (breakfast and dinner).
