Modern Languages at Wagner |
Wagner College has a lively Department of Modern Languages that offers courses in Spanish, French, Italian, German, Latin and Greek. Majors are offered in Spanish and French Studies. Minors are offered in French, Spanish, Italian Studies and German. Through our programs of study, you will develop your skills of analysis, communication, interpretation and critical enquiry, and you will build a linguistic and cultural awareness that will enable you to experience the world differently. By studying language, literature, film and civilization, you will begin your own journey through the myriad cultures of the planet.
We are located in our very own "Language Wing" in Campus Hall, which includes a language laboratory and specially-equipped classrooms. Our students are particularly active in campus life; they regularly organize visits to sites of cultural interest in Manhattan and they run La Mesa Espanola and The French Connection. Many also study abroad, in programs in Paris, Rome, Florence, Madrid, Barcelona, Buenos Aires... Winter intersession classes are currently offered in Madrid, Paris, Buenos Aires, and San Juan.
