John Griffin is an equity analyst with 12 years of financial markets experience. He currently works for Barington Capital Management, a NY-based hedge fund. Prior to joining Barington, John was the Senior Global Consumer Staples Analyst at Nomura Asset Management, one of the world’s largest asset managers. Before joining Nomura, Mr. Griffin was an Equity Analyst for the Wedge Capital Management Small Cap Value fund, one of the largest and most successful institutional small cap products in the U.S. Further notable career experiences include positions as an Economist at Credit Suisse First Boston Corp., and Associate at Charles River Associates (an economic litigation consulting firm). Mr. Griffin was also the Founder of Providence Wealth Management, a boutique investment management firm. Mr. Griffin graduated summa cum laude from Colby College in 1995. His junior year of college was spent at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he earned the Potter Prize as the top student in his program. In 2000, Mr. Griffin received an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. |
