Daniel Macri

After graduating from St. John’s University, Prof. Macri went to work as a financial advisor for John Hancock Financial Services. After gaining experience in the field, he decided to join his father who was the president / owner of Total Estate Programs. Total Estate Programs is an independent financial consulting firm located on Staten Island which deals primarily with individuals and small business owners.

In 1995 Dan assumed the role of president / owner of Total Estate Programs. Over the years, the business has expanded to provide additional services for its clients such as: asset management, pension & retirement planning and college funding using the latest and most innovative products available.

In addition to having a successful business career that spans nearly two decades, Prof. Macri is also very active in the Staten Island community. Since 2000 he has been a member of the Board of Directors of The Italian Club of Staten Island Foundation, Inc., a local non-profit organization. Dan served as the president of the organization for the past two years. His current role as Executive Director keeps him busy as the liaison between his organization, other non-profits and the Staten Island Non-Profit Association. Through this interaction the organizations share ideas, best practices and talent to serve the needs of the community.

Dan has been an integral part of the MBA program as an Adjunct Assistant Professor since the spring 2005 semester. His area of specialty is Finance and he has had the opportunity to have taught most of the courses in this discipline.
