Maria Marchiano has been an Administrative Law Judge for the Environmental Control Board for nine years where she adjudicates violations issued by various New York City agencies. At ECB she currently holds the position of Assistant Director of Tribunal Affairs and oversees the operations of the mail adjudication unit and the five live hearing tribunals located in the each borough of the City of New York. She has also served as an Impartial Hearing Officer for the Department of Education where she presided over cases that concerned educational accommodations for children with learning disabilities. Before joining ECB, Judge Marchiano was the Managing Attorney at the law firm of Hall & Hall in Staten Island. In addition to her work as an Ajunct Professor at Wagner College she is also an Adjunct Professor at New York University’s School of Professional Studies. |
