Biography
James, now 13, started studying the piano under Nightingale Chen, and has studied with Marcia Lewis at the Third Street Music School since the age of seven. He is the Grand Prize winner in the Wagner Young Musicians Competition, 2001. James was also also the winner in the 2001 Turtle Bay Totally Mozart Violin Competition. He has performed in various benefits and concerts in the New York City area. He has had masterclasses with German Diaz, Pamela Frank, Vivien Hoffman and Arnold Steinhart. He is involved in the Chamber Orchestra and the chamber music program at Third Street Music School and serves as pianist at the Grace Christian Church in Staten Island.

Two years after winning the Grand Prize in piano at age 12, James again won Grand Prize in the Young Musicians Competition of 2003, this time in violin (at age 13)! See YMC, Winners 2003.
