Biography

Christine has studied piano at the Third Street Music School Settlement with Marcia Lewis since the age of five.  Besides being an active member of the chamber music program there, both as a pianist and a violinist, she frequently performs in the school's orchestras, several times as a soloist.  She also takes ballet classes and has participated in the school's Nutcracker performances for four years.

Using her experiences in music and dance to reach out to others, Christine and her brother, James, have visited senior citizen centers and local church gatherings.  She has performed in various benefits and concerts including the 2003 Memorial of 9/11 at Ground Zero, the Harlem Opus 188 Benefit Concert at Carnegie Hall in December 2003, pianist Lang Lang's appointment as the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in May 2004, and a recent Tsunami relief concert.

Homeschooled since the first grade, Christine is active in North Jersey Home School Association activities such as choir, drama and the Ultimate Frisbee team.  Knitting, writing, graphic design, swimming, table tennis, mountain biking and bowling are among her other diverse interests.  In the church, Christine is a good role model for the younger children, serving in the children's worship ministry and praise and worship team as a singer and an instrumentalist.
