Directions to Campus Hall, Wagner College, Staten Island:
 

From Brooklyn: Take the Verazzano Bridge to Staten Island. Avoid all immediate cut-offs.
Once you are on the Staten Island Expressway, take the first exit (Exit 13) "Clove Road" .
Continue along the Service Road (called Narrows Rd.). The first light is Targee St. The second
light is Richmond Ave. At the next light steer right to be on Clove Rd. Get in the right lane to
turn right onto Howard Ave. Proceed up the hill to Wagner College.
From New Jersey: Take the Goethels Bridge to Staten Island. Continue on the Staten Island Expressway. Take Exit 13, Clove Road. Turn left over the Expressway and you will be on
Clove Rd. Get in the right lane, and at the second light turn right onto Howard Ave. and continue
up-hill towards Wagner College.

From Howard Ave.: Coming up Howard Ave. from Clove Road, after the 3rd light you will see
the main campus on the right. Continue until you see an entrance on the right which will take you
to the Main Gate. Since it is the week-end, the guard at the Security Gate will probably allow you
to drive on campus and park in Lot E, also called the "Faculty Lot." This is right in back of the
Yellow Building, in front of Main Hall. This is the closest parking area. Parking in the Canard
Loop is reserved for students moving in or out. From the Parking Lot walk towards and then
between the two gazebos to steps that lead down to a brick building with three entrances.
This is Campus Hall. The entrance on the right will lead you to the first floor, where you should
first check in. You will get instructions on where the audition room is and when the judges are
ready to hear you. There is a lounge there for you to wait.

From Manhattan: Take the Staten Island Ferry from Manhattan (South Ferry) to Staten Island.
The ferry schedule on Sunday morning is once an hour, leaving Manhattan on the hour--8:00 a.m.,
9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., and 11:00 a.m., then every half hour. The trip to S. I. takes 30 minutes.
Take a taxi to Wagner College (about $6.50). Public transportation to Wagner is cumbersome
and time-consuming. Returning to Manhattan there is a shuttle that goes from Wagner to the ferry
at 1:30 and 2:15. The ferry schedule to S. I. from Manhattan on week-ends: once an hour on the

PROCEDURES FOR CONTESTANTS

If you are attending the Competition Preliminaries:
1. Performance time is limited as indicated in the Application.
2. Do not enter or leave the performance space during another’s performance.3. Family members, friends and/or teacher may not be present during a contestant’s performance, unless the judges have given their permission. 4. Check in at least a half-hour before your scheduled time by presenting your letter to the person at the door.
5. Performance attire may be casual.
5. BE SURE TO BRING ONE COPY OF YOUR MUSIC FOR THE JUDGES.
Most of the competition will take place on the first floor. You should first check in
on the first floor, where there is a lounge and you will get instructions on where the
audition room is and when the judges are ready to hear you. The middle door of this
same building leads down into the Performance Center where other parts of the
competition will take place. There will be refreshments in the lounge of the first floor.

If you are attending the Competition Finals:
1. Everything will take place in the Music Performance Center, which is the entrance in the middle of the building.
2. You should be present at 6:15 to allow for the contestants to warm up briefly.
Warm up time is limited to five minutes.
3. The event is free and open to the public. Feel free to invite your teacher, friends, and family.
4. You should wear concert attire.
