Laura Kegeles, 17 years old, was born and raised in New York City.  She is a member of the Young Artist Program at the Elaine Kaufman Cultural Center, where she takes private lessons with Vladimir Panteleyev.  Laura has had solo performances in various halls in New York City, including Steinway Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, Weill Recital Hall, and the Russian Tea Room.  Her appearances with orchestra have included four performances with the Kiev State Orchestra, as a laureate of the school's annual concerto competition.  This summer, Laura will be in residence at the Aspen Summer Music Festival and School.  Laura will begin her undergraduate studies at the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati this fall, in the studio of Yehuda Hanani.
