PERFORMANCE COMPETITION 2008
The Wagner College Young Musicians Performance Competition is held every year in the spring. Contestants compete in either the Pre-High-School Level or the High-School Level. Contestants must return the completed Entry Form by the deadline of Jan. 19, 2008. The Entry Form should be copied to MS Word, filled out and returned as an attachment to rcross@wagner.edu

There are two Levels of Competition: 1) Pre-High School and 2) High School Contestants in each level may enter in one or more of the following categories: 1) Bowed Strings; 2) Plucked Strings; 3) Woodwinds; 4) Brass; 5) Keyboard; 6) Voice
The Competition consists of two parts
THE PRELIMINARY COMPETITION
will be held Saturday, March 15, 2008, all day Campus Hall, Wagner College Entrants may achieve awards of First Prize, Second Prize, Third Prize or Honorable Mention The Competition Preliminaries are not open to the public or to visitors
THE COMPETITION FINALS
will take place on Saturday, May 17, 7:00 p.m., 2008 Campus Hall, Wagner College Those who have won First Prize (in both Level 1 and Level 2) will compete for the Grand Prize.
Winners of the Grand Prize in each level will receive $500 and will be presented in a solo recital in May of the following year, the day after the Finals, at the Music Performance Center, Campus Hall, Wagner College The Competition Finals are open to the public and admission is free

ORIGINAL COMPOSITION COMPETITION FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS 2008
For a composition of no more than five minutes and for from two to five instruments.
