International Service Learning

The Center for International Service Learning

The Center for International Service learning provides low cost, short term trips for students in the Health Care and Education professions (though any qualifying student can participate). Duration of trips ranges from eight days to three weeks and cost is usually less than $2000.00 (not including airfare).  Financial aid is available and students requesting aid averaged 65% of their costs covered through the sponsorship program.

These programs feature experiential learning and service learning in hospitals, clinics, orphanages, refugee camps and schools.

Students may design an independent study based on their experience in the field for academic credit at Wagner. They will need to find a faculty member who will monitor their progress during the semester following the international experience.

Programs are available in the following countries: Mexico, Belize, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, Dominican Republic, Peru and Africa.

Please see ISL website for detailed program schedule and fee information.
