With pre-approval of courses and the proper forms filed in the Academic Advisement Center, the Study Abroad Office and the Registrar’s Office, students may study abroad for a summer, a semester or a year on any program accredited at another college or university. Grades will be treated as transfer credit and will not affect the student’s Wagner GPA.
During the summer, you may study abroad on any pre-approved program and then transfer up to two units of credit towards graduation. Again, courses must be pre-approved by the Registrar’s office. In addition, students must first apply for permission to study abroad from Wagner.
All study abroad fulfills the Intermediate Learning Community requirement and the Intercultural requirement.
Get course descriptions of the courses you want to take from the host institution either from the college bulletin or the Web and take these to the Registrar’s Office for pre-approval. (Form: “Pre-Approval of Transfer Credit”)
Please note: if you make any changes in your course schedule once you arrive at your destination abroad, you must notify the Registrar’s office and the Study Abroad Coordinator via e-mail: andre.rampaul@wagner.edu and receive permission for the substitution, otherwise you will not get credit.
