Established in 1973 by the Charles E. Hayden Foundation and the Christian A. Johnson Endeavor, the Wagner College Electron Microscopy Center has been used in cutting edge research and as a training tool for Wagner students for over 30 years. The center is located in the Megerle Science Building in rooms B9 and B10. It encompasses a Philips CM-100 transmission electron microscope as well as a Topcon ABT-32 scanning electron microscope. Support equipments include two Sorvall ultramicrotomes, Hitachi vacuum evaporator and gold sputtering system. This equipment is available to all trained Wagner faculty, staff and students. This website is designed to supply necessary information regarding scheduling the equipment, proper use of the equipment as well as a source for all basic electron microscopy tissue preparation.
