PSC Work-Study placements provide students with a chance to assist City agencies while gaining career experience and learning about careers in government. To be eligible for a Work-Study placement, a student must be receiving Federal Work-Study financial aid. Public Service Corps Work-Study students receive an hourly wage. Upon accepting a PSC internship position, the student becomes a temporary employee of the City of New York under the civil service
title of College Aide.
Must be a CWS eligible student. An application is required as well as a meeting in Manhattan with the Dept of Citywide Administrative Services. You will have the opportunity to select you preferences for positions and locations within NYC.

Positions are available in multiple city agencies including, but not limited to the Departments of: Cultural Affairs, Information Technology and Telecommunications, Youth and Community Development, Finance, Heath and Mental Hygiene, Citywide Administrative Services. Also, the Office of the Mayor, Fire Department and Police Department.
