This class is designed to get beginners started in both hand building and the potter's wheel. Students will learn to throw on kick wheels and will progress from simpler forms and trimming to more challenging forms such as vases, plates, and bottles. Hand builders will concetrate on slab and coil techniques and progress towards gradually more complex projects. Intermediate and advanced students are also welcome. All students will be working in low-fire terra cotta. Instructor Steve Nutt has worked on the wheel for 35 years and has taught at Wagner College since 1979.
