Announcing the

First Edition and the World Premiere Recording of

The Six Quartets for Flute, Strings, and Continuo
by Johann Joachim Quantz (1697–1773)

The world premiere CD recording of Quantz's six flute quartets is now available on the Hungaroton label!  The recording is by the Oleskiewicz-Schulenberg Duo and Friends, who presented the modern premiere performance of the six works during the 2003 Boston Early Music Festival.

The performers (all on period instruments) are Mary Oleskiewicz, flute; Elizabeth Field, violin; Daniel Elyar, viola; Stephanie Vial, cello; David Schulenberg, harpsichord.
