Advocacy and Leadership Grants |
We'll Give you $500.00--How will you "make a difference?"
GRANTS OPEN TO STUDENTS, STAFF or FACULTY, individually or in groups.
Project Pericles is now accepting applications for $500.00 Community Service and Leadership Projects
that would take place this Spring or Summer 2007.
Deadline: February 19, 2007.
The Project Pericles Council (PPC) seeks to foster social responsibility, participatory democracy and leadership by providing opportunities to take informed action against social problems. Project Pericles assists students, faculty, staff and their organizations in developing community service projects, with particular interest in those involving advocacy and/or grassroots community activism. Whether for an internship or group project, any Wagner college student, staff member, faculty, class or organization is eligible to apply for these grants.
Please submit a proposal which briefly addresses the following five components: Social responsibility, leadership, partnership, advocacy and evaluation. While each project may contain a different approach to these points, each applicant is required to address them when planning their projects. The application form also requires a cover sheet and, when possible, supporting letters from a community associate or faculty advisor.
