Assistant Director of Annual Giving
(FT/Exempt)

Requirements:  Bachelor’s Degree with 3 or more years experience in telefundraising management.  Good marketing, writing and communication skills as well as telephone calling experience. Candidates for this position should possess competence in Microsoft Word Version 7, Excel, and Powerpoint. Knowledge of the Jenzabar “CARS” fundraising software is beneficial

Reports to:                         Director of Development

Job Description:               

  • This position is responsible for all duties related to the implementation and execution of a successful Wagner College Telefundraising Campaign. Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Plan, organize, direct and execute Wagner College telefundraising campaign in consultation with Director of Development.
  • Develop marketing plan to raise $450,000 in pledges for the Wagner College telefundraising campaign.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly transactional and management information reports as required.
  • Prepare a working calendar for the telefundraising campaign.
  • Write scripts to be used by Telefundraisers as well as pledge, will consider and reminder letters for telefundraising campaign.
  • Prepare data requests to select prospects for telefundraising campaign and submit to Director of Advancement Services. Coordinate data file availability with production of forms to be printed.
  • Supervise Telefundraisers and Secretary.
  • Advertise, recruit and interview candidates to fill positions of “Telefundraiser”.  Hire Telefundraisers from Wagner College student body to call prospects from the Wagner College calling matrix. Maintain a minimum pool of 20 Telefundraisers throughout the campaign.
  • Implement and manage Telefundraisers weekly work schedule.
  • Prepare weekly/biweekly payroll report for Telefundraisers and Secretary and submit to Director of Development for approval and Human Resources.
  • Train all Telefundraisers and monitor Telefundraisers calling.
  • Train and coordinate with Secretary the mailing of all pledge, will consider, and reminder letters.
  • Work with Secretary to set up calling matrix for each calling session. 
  • Provide Advancement Services with all telefundraising pledge, will consider and refusals
  • to be entered in Jenzabar software for Development Office.
  • Manage lead cards and calling matrix.
  • Respond to all telephone inquiries, document all complaints and convert inquiries to solicitations.
  • Utilize effective time management skills in order to make the most efficient use of work hours.
  • Maintain professional image with all internal and external contacts.
  • Be punctual and dependable on a daily basis
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Director of Development.
  • Daily report to Director of Development on prior days telefundraising shift experience
  • Report all complaints immediately to Director.
  • Be present at all telefundraising work sessions.

Advisor and Data Analyst

The Center for Academic and Career Development offers a comprehensive array of resources and services for undergraduate and graduate students, alumni, faculty, and employees.  From academic advising to career planning and preparation, the CACD engages students in educational activities such as self-inquiry, major and career exploration, reflection and decision making, and strategic action for a job search or entrance into graduate school.  In conjunction with offices across campus, the programs and services of the CACD facilitate student learning and retention.

The Advisor and Data Analyst will meet with undergraduate students to provide academic advisement, and will support retention initiatives by providing data reports and statistics..  This position reports to the Dean of Academic and Career Development.

 
Responsibilities

  • Advise undergraduate students with academic and career questions, specially those students who are undecided about a major.
  • Review General Education requirements with students.
  • Support campus-wide student retention plan bey gathering and analyzing relevant data, providing reports and statistics as needed.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and attention to detail required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; social science major desired.
  • Ability to organize and analyze data.
  • Familiarity with Jenzabar desired

This is a part-time, 12-month position.

Graphic Artist

Communications Department

RESPONSIBILITIES

Working with the Associate Director of Communication as a member of the Office of Communications, you will serve as primary on-campus graphic designer for officers throughout the College, including admissions, alumni and development, graduate studies and external programs, among others.  Typical formats produced include brochures, postcards, invitations, ads, newsletters and magazines.

These publications are produced for off-campus audiences including prospective students, alumni and donors.  Your wok will involve taking publications from initial concept and creation to design and then through to pre-press production including color separations and cmyk conversions, typesetting, photo-editing, photo-retouching and enhancement and preparation for transfer to offset press production.  In addition to the design and production of publications for external audiences, you may also design graphics for use on the web, apparel, banners, etc.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors degree in graphic design with two to four years of experience preferred.  Must have a strong  working knowledge of design programs including InDesign, Quark, Illustrator and Photoshop.  You should have strong time management skills and be able t manage multiple projects in a fast paced office.  Knowledge of web design is a plus.  Must be creative, able to articulate in design the message of the College, deadline and detail oriented.  Previous work in a college environment a plus.
