Academic Computing staff support faculty and students with the IT resources necessary to teach, learn, and conduct research. New hardware and software has changed the content and skills required to work in most fields in very significant ways. Wagner meets these new challenges by providing computer labs, training, in-class multimedia support, and assistance in grant related activities.

Computer Labs:
Wagner has eleven computer labs consisting of over 200 computers for teaching and outside-of-class use by students.

Training
The Academic Computing staff offers a range of training classes and one-on-one tutorials in the most commonly used software applications.

Multimedia in the Classroom
Staff from Academic Computing help faculty and students communicate and work with information in new media. Faculty wishing to integrate digital video, web-based assignments and other media-rich activities into their course will find the Academic Computing staff ready to lend their support. This can take the form of training the faculty member, assisting in the design of assignments, instructing students, and supporting students in the computer lab as they work on assignments.

Grants
Faculty wishing to include new technology in grants for teaching and research can seek the support of the Academic Computing staff in everything from drafting the initial grant proposal to completing and evaluating the work funded by grants.
