Digital And Analog Video EditingTransferring Files from Cameras Whether using a still or video camera, you will need to transfer the files from the camera onto a computer for further manipulation and editing. If using one of our cameras, please transfer your files before returning the camera to us. Appropriate cables may be borrowed from Media Services. We recommend you transfer the files using the Mac Lab (Spiro 32). All computers in the Mac Lab have Adobe Photoshop (still image manipulation), iMovie and DVD Studio Pro (video file manipulation). If you need assistance, you can make an appointment with Mike Brillante, Director of Media Services. The students working in the Spiro Computer Center may also be able to provide assistance. Digital Video Editing Class Projects: Students who are making videos are a component of a class project can receive training from Mike Brillante. However, the faculty member needs to plan the project ahead of time in discussion with Mike so that sufficient time is provided. Since this is a class project for which the student is graded, we will not do the editing for the students. Faculty and Staff Projects: We will provide assistance to faculty and staff members who need help with digital or analog (VHS/SVHS formats) video editing for Wagner College projects. Please discuss the project with Mike Brillante ahead of time so that a project schedule can be developed. |
