Digital And Analog Video Editing

Transferring Files from Cameras

Whether using a still or video camera, you will need to transfer the files from the camera onto a computer for further manipulation and editing. If using one of our cameras, please transfer your files before returning the camera to us. Appropriate cables may be borrowed from the Help Desk with a Wagner College ID.

We recommend you transfer the files using the Mac Lab (Spiro 32). All computers in the Mac Lab have Adobe Photoshop (still image manipulation), iMovie and DVD Studio Pro (video file manipulation). All files and videos are to be saved you P-Drive for safekeeping.

Digital Video Editing

Class Projects: Students who are making videos are a component of a class project cannot receive training from the Information Technology department. Since this is a class project for which the student is graded, we will not do the editing for the students.

Faculty and Staff Projects: We will provide assistance to faculty and staff members converting VHS tapes to DVDs only if the original media is out of print and not available for purchase. We do not offer video editing services for personal or work related projects.
