Ordinarily, laptops are only effectively used in a classroom setting if they are connected to an LCD projector, so please remember to request both, if both are needed. Requests require a two business day lead time. Be sure that your request includes:

• the date and time of the event or class
• the location (building and room)
• if you need a non-standard disk drive (laptops have a CD player and USB connection, but may not play DVDs or have a floppy drive)
• whether an internet connection will be needed

A media technician will deliver the laptop to the classroom and retrieve it once the class is over. From the time it is set up to the time it is retrieved, laptops must be locked down to the desk by the media technician to ensure security.
