Connecting a Laptop to a Video Presenter
Things you'll need:

1. Laptop |

2. Samsung Video Presenter |
|
|
3. USB Cable |
|
|
4. Extension Cord (Possibly) |
|
|
| 1. Lens - Can rotate to the front and back. |
| 2. Main Support. |
| 3. Main Lock Button - Press to move the main support. |
| 4. Lamp Unit. |
| 5. Document Plate - Built in light box |
| 6. Main Control Panel - (See instructions below.) |
| 7. IR Sensor - Receives wireless signal from remote control. |

|
1. Once plugged into power outlet, connect one end of the USB cable to the laptop. |
|
|
2. Once plugged into power outlet, connect the other end of the USB to the video presenter. |
|
|
3. Turn on the video presenter by pushing the large green button on the front panel.
|
|
|
4. Turn on the laptop. |
|
|
5. On the laptop's screen, double click the SAMSUNG DIGITAL PRESENTER 6500 Icon. |
|
|
6. On the front panel of the video presenter, select XGA by pushing the MODE button. |
|
|
7. Move the video presenter's two side bar lamps to manually adjust the light. |
|
|
8. Make adjustments to the image by using the control keys (ROTATE, APERTURE, ZOOM + or -, IRIS). 8a. ROTATE- To rotate the image either 90, 180 or 270 degrees. 8b. APERTURE- Contols the sharpness of the image. 8c. AWC- Controls color quality. 8d. ZOOM- Reduces or enlarges the image. 8e. IRIS- Lightens and darkens image quality.

9. A window will pop up on the laptop screen showing whatever the lens is pointing to (in this case, a pair of scissors.) |

10. On the laptop screen:
10a. The first three buttons allow you to select screen size: Full, 1/4 or 1/16. 10b. Capture: captures the image currently displayed in the view panel. 10c. Print: prints the image (must be captured first.) 10d. Save: saves the image in either BMP or JPEG format (must be captured first.) 10e. Control: opens the control panel (see below.)

Enlarges or reduces the image size on the screen. |

Adjusts focus. |

Adjusts the brightness of the image on the screen. |

Controls the sharpness of the output image. |

Adjusts the red color. |

Turns the head lamp and the light box on/off. |

Keeps current image on the screen. |

Rotates the image by 90/180/270/0 degrees. |

Selects the graphic mode. |

Reverses the image from positive to negative or from negative back to positive. |

Selects internal signal out from the video presenter. |
|
|
Selects the external signal out from other devices. |
|
|
Saves an image into the memory of the video presenter. |
|
|
Recalls an image from the memory of the video presenter. |
|
|
Shifts a recalled image display in a divided screen from right to left to see the hidden portion of the image. |
|
|
Divides the screen to see both the current image and an image recalled from the memory of the video presenter simultaneously on one screen. |
|
|
Divides the screen (3X3 Multi-Screen) to see 9 images saved in the memory of the video presenter. |
|
|
Cancels Freeze, Divide, Recall, or Preset Exe mode and returns to the Standby mode. |
|
|
Adjusts auto color. |
|
|
Adjusts auto focus. |
|
|
Saves the customized setting values for future use. You can save up to four different use settings. If you select Preset Save or Preset Exe, the select number dialog box appears. Select the memory location number to bring up the image you want displayed. |

Activates the preset user settings. |
Connect an LCD projector to the laptop .
