Information Technology

Network Traffic

Information Technology places a limit on the total amount of internet bandwidth usage per user. The data is calculated over a 3 day floating window and is set to 6GB for uploading and 6GB for downloading.  Once an individual reaches the limit, the speed of their internet connection is limited until their usage drops below the threshold for the 3 day floating window.  The connection is only throttled in the direction that limit was reached.  For example, if a user has reached a download limit, their download speed is throttled, but their upload speed is not.
