Description   EBSCO Philosopher's Index, produced by the Philosopher's Information Center, is a current and comprehensive bibliographic database covering scholarly research in all major fields of philosophy. The Philosopher’s Index features author-written abstracts covering scholarly research published in journals and books, including contributions to anthologies and book reviews. It contains research published since 1940 including nearly 570 journals from 43 countries with content representing a variety of languages.  
 
Dates covered   1940 to present.
 
Updating frequency   Quarterly.
 
Sources   Philosopher's Index on-line includes abstracts from over 550 journals, from more than 40 countries, in English, Czech, Dutch, Flemish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Romanian, Serbo-Croatian, Spanish, and other languages. Core journals are covered comprehensively; more peripheral journals are covered selectively. The database includes a variety of types of materials including journal articles, book reviews, anthologies, and monographs.
