Friends of the Horrmann Library |
Welcome to the Friends of the Library website. |
The Friends of the Library, active since 2003, comprises alumni and community patrons who value the materials and services offered by the Horrmann Library. Historically, the library has had the strong support of campus stakeholders and constituencies and the current Friends group is contimuing that rich legacy of support. Wagner's evolving curriculum and the expansive research of the faculty means there is a constant need for new materials and new technologies.
The purpose of the Friends of the Library is:
- To sustain, strengthen and further develop library facilities, collections and services.
- To provide an opportunity for engaged individuals to come together out of common interest in Wagner College and its library.
- To encourage financial support for materials and projects that exceed the resources of the library budget.
- To assist in special library projects.
- To promote library/community ties that enlarge the service capacity and promote effective use of the library.
Planning and organazining are spearheaded by the FoL Steering Committee, but membership is open to anyone interested in the support, promotion, and growth of the library and Wagner College.
Current steering committee members:
Diane Borst Manning, '59, M'62 - Chair
Norman Berg
Wanda Praisner, '54
John Deane, '51
Dana Guariglia, '06, M'07
Joyce Guariglia, '72
