MLA International Bibliography
The Modern Language Association International Bibliography indexes over 3,000 periodicals in the area of literature and linguistics, as well as books, book chapters, and dissertations.  

Literature Resource Center
Literature Resource Center provides information on authors and literary works from all nationalities and time periods.  The database includes information from reference books, literature encyclopedias, and over 250 academic literary journals.

Academic Search Premier
Academic Search Premier offers a considerable collection of journals on Spanish Language and Literature, including some Spanish-Language content. This database provides indexing and abstracting of almost 7,000 peer-reviewed journals, with full text for over 3,600 peer-reviewed journals.

Directory of Open Access Journals
This service covers free, full text, quality controlled scientific and scholarly journals. There are now 2,883 journals in the directory, and over 600 of them are Spanish-language journals.  

Ebrary
Ebrary contains thousands of full text electronic books on Spanish language and literature, both in English and Spanish.

ProQuest Ethnic NewsWatch
An interdisciplinary, bilingual (English and Spanish) and comprehensive full text database of newspapers, magazines and journals from ethnic, minority and native presses. This current database begins its coverage in 1990.

Twayne Authors Series
Twayne Author Series contains the full text of 600 popular Twayne Literary Masters books on individual World authors.  

Project Muse
Project Muse provides the full-text of approximately 300 peer-reviewed scholarly journals in the arts, humanities, and social sciences, including some journals on Iberian and Latin American studies. Also links to full-text articles in JSTOR.

JSTOR
JSTOR is an electronic collection of full text scholarly journals, with some journals in Latin American Studies and Comparative Literature. The complete archives of these journals are available starting with the very first issues, many of which date from the 1800s. The most recent 3-5 years of each journal are not included.

Centro Virtual Cervantes

Gateway to resources about the Spanish language and culture in Spanish created by the Instituto Cervantes. It offers digital contents related to teaching Spanish as a second language, hispanic literature and the arts. Its targeted audience is primarily teaching faculty, students, translators and hispanists. It also includes a well-organized subject directory focused on hispanic literature and Spanish language known as the Oteador.

This is the most comprehensive hispanic digital library. It aims to preserve and make accessible the hispanic cultural heritage available in various formats (mainly texts, images and videos). It includes portals organized by topics, authors, institutions, and historic figures. It offers two extensive sections devoted to Hispanic Language and Literature. It also features Bibliotecas del Mundo, an extensive subject directory of selected links focusing on hispanic studies and related issues.

Dictionary of the Literature of the Iberian Peninsula

This dictionary includes historical, religious, cultural and philosophical writings as well as prose, poetry, and drama from the Iberian Peninsula. Entries contain bibliographies of primary texts and selected critical studies as well as existing English translations of primary texts.

Feminist Encyclopedia of Spanish Literature

This work looks at the literature of Spain from the perspective of women's studies and includes hundreds of alphabetically arranged entries on numerous topics related to Spanish literature, including literary periods and genres, characters and character types, and major authors and works.

Hispanic Literature Criticism

Twentieth Century Spanish Fiction Writers (Dictionary of Literary Biography)

This volume of the Dictionary of Literary Biography presents 42 Spanish fiction writers from the twentieth century. Articles contain a bibliography of the author's works and other sources, and description of his or her life and career.
