Wagner College listed in ‘Best 366 Colleges’ guide |
Also makes Top 20 lists for ‘Best College Theater,’ ‘Most Beautiful Campus’
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y., Aug. 21, 2007 — Wagner College is listed, once again, in the Princeton Review’s annual “Best 366 Colleges” guide, which was released today. Only about 15 percent of the four-year colleges in America were chosen for inclusion in this year’s guide. Wagner College is also listed in several of the Princeton Review’s Top 20 rankings, including “Best College Theater” (Number 2) and “Most Beautiful Campus” (Number 6). More than 60 categories are ranked in this year’s guide. The ranking lists are based on the Princeton Review's student surveys, about 325 of which are administered per campus. A college's appearance on these lists is attributable to “a high consensus among its surveyed students about the subject,” according to the Review. The 80-question survey asked students to rate their schools on several topics and report on their campus experiences at them. Wagner College is located on Grymes Hill in New York City’s borough of Staten Island. The school’s signature curriculum, known as the Wagner Plan for the Practical Liberal Arts, unites the college’s longstanding commitment to the liberal arts with internships, community service and interdisciplinary education.
