French Senior Program |
The Senior Learning Community will consist of one upper-level French literature course (333 or above) attached to the required French 400 RFT, French Expository Writing. The experiential component will consist of supervised work at a cultural/research institution. The result of their experiential work will be reflected in a senior thesis for the French 400 RFT class.
FR 400 Senior Reflective Tutorial: French Expository Writing
A detailed study of an author, period, or theme relevant to the understanding of French or Francophone literature and culture. This course also aims to build upon previous language learning, to review, refine, develop, and practice language skills to achieve correct and effective expression in French, with emphasis on writing. An extended research project is required for all majors who wish to be considered for departmental honors. Prerequisite: major in French studies or permission of the instructor. Offered as required.
