Thursday, May 04, 2006…Twenty Wagner College Students will be inducted into Delta Mu Delta, the National Business Honor Society, at a ceremony this Sunday, May 7, 2006, 3:30-5pm in the Spiro Center Hospitality Suite. The ceremony will be hosted by Associate Professor Peg Horan and Associate Controller, Cherie Caccese, M.B.A.
Delta Mu Delta is a highly selective, national honor society whose membership is for lifetime and by invitation only.
New inductees include: Wagner graduate students Andrew Babitts and Donald Wroblicki; seniors Laura Andrews, Meghan Conway, Sheryl Dobbins, Alexandra Formica, Matthew Hudson, Maria Ingoglia, Stephanie Kovach, Cristina Modifica, and Sarah Rhine; and juniors Angela Carullo, Angela DeMaio, Erica Drozd, Meghan Getchell, Jenna Guzzi, Jennifer Lemoncelli, Charles Lupardo, Anne Marie Zafarino, and Kayla Marie Zeller.
Additionally, the officers of the organization have also recently been inducted and sworn in at a prior ceremony. They are: Dennis McCaffery – President, Mark Altmann – Vice President, Sally Araiinejad – Secretary, and John Carrescia – Treasurer.
At the ceremony, the Society will pay tribute to Dr. Walter Rohrs, who passed away September 28, 2005 and who was responsible for having the Alpha Beta Chapter installed at the College on January 13, 1970. Dr. Walter Rohrs had been instrumental in its success and viability and was a revered professor and chair of the Business department at the College.
“I am greatly touched that the college continues to honor my father, who held the Delta Mu organization very dear to him,” said Dr. Rick Rohrs, Walter’s son. “I am delighted to see that this prestigious organization continues to thrive at Wagner College.”
