Dean Wright picked for national program

    Wagner College is pleased to announce that Curtis Wright, Assistant Dean of Campus Life, is one of only 42 mid-level administrators in higher education nationwide selected by the Council of Independent Colleges and the American Academic Leadership Institute to participate in a year-long Senior Leadership Academy.

President Clinton to visit campus Friday

Former President Bill Clinton will appear on campus this Friday, Sept. 3, at a campaign rally for U.S. Rep. Mike McMahon (D-Staten Island, Brooklyn). The rally be be held in the Sutter Gymnasium in the Spiro Sports Center. Doors will open at 10:30 a.m.; the rally will begin at 12:30 p.m.

Howard G. Meyers Jr., 68

    It is with great sadness that Wagner College notes the passing of Trustee Howard G. Meyers Jr. ’63, who died Saturday evening, Aug. 28, 2010. He was born Feb. 15, 1942.

Former Wagnerian editor wins AP award

Congratulations to former Wagnerian editor Alex Jacobs '07, who won a major writing award last week from the New York State Associated Press Association. The award was announced on Friday, Aug. 20.

Wagner goes SAT/ACT-optional

    Beginning in the fall of 2010, students applying for admission to Wagner College will no longer be required to provide SAT or ACT scores as part of their application package. Students may still elect to submit them, however, if they choose.
    According to Angelo Araimo, vice president for enrollment and planning at Wagner, more than 800 colleges and universities across the country have dropped the requirement for standardized testing.
